Work in China: Destination
Work in China
Advance your career by working in China’s top hotels. You’ll work 40 hours a week and be immersed in the hospitality industry.
An enormous country with the world’s largest population and, these days, arguably one of the most stable currencies, backed by a huge supply of goods and services. For the casual tourist it might seem simple: the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall… But step a little off the usual tourist trail and a whole other world opens up — full of quirks and hidden secrets. Discovering them by chance means uncovering new mysteries, running into startling puzzles and being completely baffled by things that at first seem straightforward… Everything here is different. Maybe it’s because, over millennia, their worldview has changed little… Or maybe that’s the main mystery — an unspokenness you’ll want to try to unravel. That’s exactly what you can explore during your Chinese internship. And a couple of fun facts: you probably know paper, gunpowder and the compass were invented in China. But what about ice cream? And noodles? Yes — ice cream was first made here about 4,000 years ago, and noodles, which we usually associate with Italy, were invented in China too.
“Living and working in Beijing has been an incredibly valuable experience for both my personal and professional growth. For me, this program was a mix of challenges, opportunities, and fresh perspectives — it helped me better understand Chinese culture.”

“It’s a vast dragon, its shimmering body an endless procession of mountain ridges and turrets of the Great Wall of China, stretching between the world of China and another realm, dividing it in two… both in life and in understanding.”
