Costa Rica literally means ‘Rich Coast’ in Spanish. Costa Rica is located between Nicaragua and Panama; it’s only 460 km long and 260 km wide. You can easily drive across the whole country from border to border in a single day. From a high mountain on a clear day you can see both the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans. Despite its small size, Costa Rica’s nature is incredibly diverse: you’ll find wet tropical rainforests, dry plains, cold foggy volcano summits, hot beaches, and rushing rivers with waterfalls. It’s a country of eternal summer, with an average annual temperature of 25–30 °C. Costa Rica is considered one of the most beautiful countries on the planet… if not the most beautiful. By the way:

“The small country of Costa Rica has everything it takes to be a true dream factory: dramatic natural landscapes, oceans, lush tropics, and arid regions.”
Steven Seagal.
