Teach in Thailand: visa

Program participants travel to Thailand as tourists. Citizens of most countries don’t need a visa to enter Thailand for tourism for up to 30 days. That’s usually enough time to complete a TEFL course. If a participant doesn’t manage to find an employer in time, the stay can be extended by another 30 days.

To work in Thailand you’ll need a business visa (type B). Only with this visa can you obtain a work permit, which is required for all foreigners. Employers usually handle the visa application.
