TEFL in Thailand: become an English teacher
International Exchange Center invites you to a program for those who want to work as English teachers in Thailand. It’s a great chance not only to learn an in-demand profession but also to gain an unforgettable experience living in one of the most beautiful and welcoming countries in Southeast Asia.
Our TEFL course in Chiang Mai (Thailand) runs for four weeks and is suitable for both experienced teachers and beginners with no prior teaching qualifications. The program covers teaching English as a foreign language methodology: vocabulary, grammar, phonetics, lesson planning, and classroom management. There’s a strong focus on practical skills — you’ll get useful tips on organizing lessons, addressing common student errors, and observing classes taught by experienced teachers.
Upon completion you’ll receive an internationally recognized TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). This credential opens doors to teaching English not only in Thailand but in other countries around the world, as well as for online teaching. After you earn the certificate, the program sponsor will help you find a job.
IEC offers two program options:
-
4-Week TEFL Course — a full four-week program in Chiang Mai that starts every month.
-
TEFL Internship — a two-week course followed by a paid 4–5-month internship at schools in Chiang Mai and nearby areas. The TEFL certificate is awarded after successful completion of the internship.
