What level of English do I need to join the program?
To enroll in the program, you need a language level of at least IELTS 5.5 or an equivalent approved by the college. You’ll need to provide a language certificate proving your level — if you don’t have one, you’ll have to take the college’s language test.
Can I join the program if my English isn’t good enough?
In this case, we recommend starting with one of the college’s language programs to improve your language skills, then reapply to one of the academic programs.
Is it hard to pass an interview with a college coordinator?
In the first stage of program enrollment, you’ll have an online interview with a college representative. During the interview, the representative will assess your English level, your skills and abilities, and your motivation for joining the program.
How do I pay for the program?
Depending on the program you choose, payment can be made in installments or as a single payment. Before you’re enrolled, a coordinator at IEC will explain the payment schedule for your chosen program.
How long is the program?
Diploma and Certificate program options lasting 6 to 12 months. You’ll get more detailed information when you register for your chosen program.
What housing options are available?
The college offers host family accommodation. The registration fee to book accommodation is CAD$215. The cost depends on the type of accommodation, location, dates, and season. If you need more information, feel free to contact the IEC coordinator.
