“I’ve been drawn to Latin America since childhood; my interest in the region prompted me to learn Spanish and Portuguese. After I graduated from university, I decided I wanted to build a career in tourism. At IEC I was matched with the perfect program — an Internship in Mexico in the hotel industry. In just one and a half months I gathered all the necessary documents and set off! I interned at a Bahia Principe hotel, part of a Spanish chain, where I worked in almost every department, met wonderful people, and learned even more languages. That experience made me want to explore the world and other cultures even more. I believe the best investment you can make is in your education and in experiences that bring you lots of positive emotions, valuable experience, and the chance to meet people from other cultures.”
