How well do I need to know the language?
An Intermediate level or higher is required; preference is given to participants with stronger language skills.
Do I need to provide proof of my English level?
Of course, you’ll need an IELTS certificate (at least 6.0).
If I’ve finished my university studies, can I join the program?
No, this program is for people who are still studying. If you graduated from university more than a year before the internship starts, you can’t participate.
Will someone meet me at the airport?
This service is available for an additional fee.
How do I make a payment?
You must pay the registration fee within 7 (seven) calendar days from the date the internship agreement is signed. The second installment is due after the internship placement is confirmed.
When does the program start, and when do I need to submit my application documents?
This program runs year-round, but preparing all the paperwork takes 3–4 months. So plan to apply at least three months before your intended start date.
Will I have an interview with the employer?
No, IEC handles everything.
Is there a list of available positions?
Once you’ve submitted your application, your internship placement is chosen by the program sponsor. There isn’t a list of positions open to participants.
How many working hours per week does the internship involve?
It depends on the job, but on average you’ll work about 30 hours a week.
Are participants provided with housing, or do they need to arrange it themselves?
Participants can live with a host family or on a student campus. Your sponsor helps you find housing.
