Camp in USA: Reviews
Camp in the USA
Spend the summer in the USA working at summer camps. Help create fun days for kids, improve your English, and enjoy the outdoors. Choose a role: counselor or support staff!
“I work in the state of Connecticut, not far from the town of Chester. The camp is called Camp Hazen YMCA. I really love it here — the climate isn’t that different from Russia. I also like being close to the ocean, but there are woods, hills, and nature too — it’s a great place to spend your time. The job is wonderful! My duties include being a counselor, a lifeguard, and a water-sports instructor — teaching swimming, kayaking, windsurfing, paddleboarding, and canoeing. We also have other water activities, like jumping on water trampolines and water mats. There’s also sailing (yachting); I’m still learning, so I don’t teach sailing yet — it’s very challenging and carries a lot of responsibility. Besides that, I work as a lifeguard: someone runs the lesson while I watch the kids. Counselors live with the kids, accompany them everywhere, take them to the dining hall, and play various games with them in their free time…”
