How do I submit documents to participate?
To enroll in the program, just call us or fill out the form — sign up for a consultation or start your application. A program coordinator will then walk you through every step of the enrollment process in detail.
What documents do I need to register?
Completed application form;
References confirming experience working with children (at least 2);
Character reference (at least one) — may be provided by former teachers or employers;
Handwritten letter in French to the host family (Host family letter);
Medical report;
Copy of secondary or higher education diploma with a French translation;
Copy of driver’s license (preferred);
Copy of passport;
Police clearance certificate;
Copy of birth certificate;
Certificate confirming French language proficiency (from a university or language school).
Which visa do I need?
Participants in the Au Pair in France program get a long-term visa to work with a host family.
What documents do I need to apply for a visa?
For the visa, you’ll need a separate set of documents — an IEC representative will provide the list.
What kind of passport do I need to have?
Under the program participation agreement, the participant must provide IEC with a valid passport for international travel no later than 1 (one) month before the earliest possible program start date. Additionally, the participant must hold a passport valid for international travel at least two months before the earliest program start date.
