Au Pair in France: Culture and Language from the Inside
The Au Pair in France program is aimed at participants aged 18–29 and gives you the chance to become part of a French host family for 12 months. Participants look after children and also do light housework. As part of the program, you can attend French language courses in France, but Au Pair course fees are Not included — you’ll pay them yourself. Course costs depend on the region and are about 100–140 EUR per month and up. To join the program you not only need to love children but also have proven experience working with them. An Intermediate level of French or higher is required. Host families are located in the south of France or in Paris and its suburbs. For placements in the south of France, having an international driver’s license is desirable (a significant bonus when looking for a host family).
